RIAA equalizer


To listen to old vinyl records with a full sound, you need a diagram, called the RIAA equalizer. This can be found in older amps, but in the modern household equipment it no longer inserted. If you want to archive your vinyl records on your PC, you will also need RIAA equalizer. It would be nice if the corrector was built in power amp for small speakers or headphones. In the device described here is an amplifier. It consists of two parts: a proof-reader and an amplifier.


Corrector is made ​​for ultra-low noise IC NE5532 . In the scheme of the corrector uses metal-film resistors with a tolerance of 1%, power 0.6 W, the capacitors must be within a tolerance of 5% or better, with an operating voltage 63 ... 100 V. The corrector has direct access to an external amplifier or PC.

The amplifier chip is made ​​on the LM1877 . It provides a power output of 2 watts per channel with very low distortion. Potentiometer P1 is used to adjust the output power amplifier.

The whole scheme is powered by an external DC voltage 12 ... 16 V. The scheme, photos of the device and the PCB can be downloaded on the appropriate links.
